Summer 2021

Summer is here! And we hope to be able to do a lot of activities together! Below you’ll find FOUR bits of information (plus a few extra at the end). Please pay attention to:

Bike Ride: Lake Sammamish Trail 
Saturday, June 12, 4-7 

Park in Lot I at Marymoor Park (near the Velodrome) and meet at the big black top.  We will do a short ride out the East Lake Sammamish Trail toward Issaquah.    

Rocket Launch and Picnic – Rescheduled  
Saturday, June 19, 4-7PM 60 Acres North 

Bring a friend! The rocket launch and picnic is the perfect opportunity to invite friends and neighbors who might be interested in joining Cubscouts.

Summer Events 

We can have a lot of fun this summer, but we need parent help! Please consider what activities you and your scout would enjoy, and then sign up to plan and lead one. We have several suggestions already, or you can do your own thing. Our pack needs your help! Sign up here:  

Cub Scout Residence Camp 

Camp Edwards, Snohomish, WA 

Thursday, August 5-Sunday, August 8 

There are 6 spots left for residence camp. Come explore Camp Blazing Saddles at Camp Edward this summer!  Eight large campsites have tents (or you can bring your own), sharing two restroom facilities with private showers. Highlights include a climbing tower, a mine to explore, and Cub World featuring a fort and nature activity center! Sign up now for 4 days and 3 nights of fun!

Cost: $300 per scout, and $197 per guardian. Chris will follow-up with those signed up this weekend. Payment is due at our June meeting (check payable to Cub Scout Pack 428).  

Day Camp Update 

It appears there are still a few spots open for day camp. Key Details: Our pack usually attends the Twilight Session, July 12-15, but you can register for any session you wish. Registration is found here: . 

New!  Camp Getaway (Information from our district) 
Looking for a fun, relaxing way your family can experience the joys of summer?   Camp Getaway is for you!  Our newest all-inclusive camp experience gives families the chance to enjoy 3 days of playing, just like Scouts do at summer camp!  Go boating, swimming, mountain biking, hiking! Climb the 44 ft. tall climbing tower, or take aim at the archery, rifle or BB gun ranges. All activities, food and accommodations included. Two sessions available.
